Five-star eventer Buck Davidson instructs Preliminary and Intermediate horse-and-rider combinations in an early-season cross-country schooling session. The pairs focus on staying forward but balanced while practicing turning and adjustability exercises over varied terrain. They work on these exercises while jumping logs, coops, tables and rolltops.
Buck Davidson has competed at Badminton, Burghley, Kentucky, Maryland and Pau CCI5*-L events. He has represented the U.S. at two FEI World Equestrian Games™ and earned team gold and individual bronze at the 2011 Pan American Games. He runs BDJ Equestrian out of facilities in Ocala, Florida, and Unionville, Pennsylvania.
