Cross-Country Schooling - From Modified to Prelim | Robin Walker
47m 48s
International eventer Robin Walker coaches an accomplished rider bringing a Modified horse up to the Preliminary level. After warming up over small cross-country fences, they move on to jump a narrow-fence combination, a coffin with a mound for terrain, a hollow complex and a water complex. Robin allows the rider to pick the number of strides in the exercise rather than dictate what the striding should be. He shares his concept of prioritizing the horses’ head, front legs and feet while schooling and training.
Originally from England, Robin Walker has been a longtime staple on the U.S. eventing scene. He has earned top results at Advanced and international competitions. He is a faculty member for the United States Eventing Association’s Eventing Coaches Program. Robin operates his training facility, Maute House Farm, out of Grass Lake, Michigan, and Ocala, Florida.
