International eventer Robin Walker coaches an accomplished rider bringing a Modified horse up to the Preliminary level. He has the pair school a half-coffin combination then a full-coffin combination. Robin emphasizes having the correct canter for the exercise and that trainers shouldn’t overface horses and riders with questions that are too challenging.
Originally from England, Robin Walker has been a longtime staple on the U.S. eventing scene. He has earned top results at Advanced and international competitions. He is a faculty member for the United States Eventing Association’s Eventing Coaches Program. Robin operates his training facility, Maute House Farm, out of Grass Lake, Michigan, and Ocala, Florida.
