Five-star eventer Buck Davidson coaches Preliminary and Intermediate pairs in a cross-country schooling session early in the competition season. Buck has the combinations warm up over a series of small galloping fences with flags placed on the approach and landing of the fences, making the riders focus on the accuracy of their turns. The pairs progress to schooling a variety of fences, practicing rebalancing and adjustability.
Buck Davidson has competed at Badminton, Burghley, Kentucky, Maryland and Pau CCI5*-L events. He has represented the U.S. at two FEI World Equestrian Games™ and earned team gold and individual bronze at the 2011 Pan American Games. He runs BDJ Equestrian out of facilities in Ocala, Florida, and Unionville, Pennsylvania.
